Russell is a Young Adult author, scriptwriter and script consultant. His debut novel, REBELS (Walker Books), was optioned for development as a feature film. He is now working on new YA titles.

 

A former BBC Drama script editor, he has worked extensively in TV and film with credits as a scriptwriter, script editor and producer. He has worked in film development through the European Script Fund and the Movie Acquisition Corporation. He has also had his work performed on both stage and radio.

 

In Higher Education he has worked as a scriptwriting lecturer, coach and external examiner. As a script consultant he works with both new and more experienced writers.
